Terms & Conditions – Payments & Cancellations

Payments

• A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total booking value is required within 14 days of African Bushwalker Tours confirming the booking.

• The remaining 60% balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to the trip start date.

• Failure to make payments by the specified deadlines may result in cancellation of the booking, with applicable cancellation charges applied.

• All bank transfer fees and charges are the responsibility of the customer and are strictly non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing and delivered by hand, post, fax, or email. The date African Bushwalker Tours receives the written notice will determine the applicable cancellation charge.

The following cancellation charges apply:

• 61 days or more prior to departure
  The 40% deposit is forfeited. A maximum refund of 35% of the total tour price may be issued at the discretion of African Bushwalker Tours.

• 60–31 days prior to departure
  A cancellation fee of 65% of the total tour price applies.
  Maximum refund: 35%.

• 30–16 days prior to departure
  A cancellation fee of 85% of the total tour price applies.
  Maximum refund: 15%.

• Less than 16 days prior to departure
  No refund will be issued.

• No-shows
  No refunds will be given for failure to arrive or participate in the tour for any reason.

Maximum Refund Policy

Under no circumstances will African Bushwalker Tours refund more than 35% of the total booking value, regardless of the reason for cancellation, unless otherwise agreed in writing by African Bushwalker Tours.

Force Majeure

The tour may be cancelled without penalty in the event of war, life-threatening epidemic, natural disaster, or similar events occurring within 14 days prior to departure, provided that:

• The traveller’s government officially advises against travel to the specific destination, and

• The situation arose after the booking was confirmed.

Any refund issued in such circumstances will not exceed 35% of the total tour price.

Death or Serious Illness

In the event of the death or serious illness of the person for whom the tour was booked, cancellation fees may be waived only if African Bushwalker Tours is provided with an officially approved death or medical certificate.
Any refund issued will be at the discretion of African Bushwalker Tours and will not exceed 35% of the total booking value.
